Me and my folks at the entryway for the new Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum.

We've been in Springfield, Illinois since last night and today we spent the day at the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum, which was actually pretty cool. I learned some things about Lincoln and his times and there were lots of creative exhibits there, such as "The Civil War in Four Minutes" that showed the way the boundaries of the Union and Confederacy changed and the battles that were fought buy showing four years sped up into four minutes. There were many _very_ realistic wax figures all over the museum as well. It was worth the visit.
Tonight for dinner we tried out a Springfield regional favorite, the Horseshoe. It's an open-face burger served with fries on top, then coveredm with a cheddar cheese sauce. It was ok. Not feeling gypped that I've never had one before, and I probably won't have one again.

Tomorrow we'll visit Lincoln's Tomb, then drive home. I'm looking forward to listening to the Bears on the radio on the way home, I haven't listened to the Bears on the radio in ages. We'll stop by Midewin National Prairie if there's time.
