This is actually pretty accurate, although none of my favorite bands were listed. Great Big Sea, Indigo Girls, Jimmy Buffett, the Moody Blues, and of course, Midnight Oil, are my favorite bands. I have most of their albums, and enjoy most of the music they've released.

As of last night I am the Queen of Bowling!! My team won first place for the season last night, that makes three times we've finished in first and one time finishing second in the four years I've been bowling. After the Bowling Banquet on Friday the 13th I'll have another trophy. Watch this space for a nice group photo of tacky fake-brass bowling trophies.

Tonight I was looking at excursions to take while on this fabulous cruise. I'm going to stick with the excursions that focus on one thing, instead of trying to (for example) 'see' Nice and Cannes in a day, I'd rather spend the day in a medieval village. That way I have some hope of remembering what I saw. If anyone reading this has been on a cruise, what do you think of the excursions? Are they worthwhile?

The new Chicago Speculative Fiction Community website is up. It's not running yet but the forum is, and it's great. It's (almost) free, no ads,  and it's easy to use.

I hate yahoo even more because of  those stupid "my friend told me I'd get lots of comments if I posted here" spam posts from Yahoo adult sites. On the plus side the LJ team seems to have gotten rid of all of them, I tried to find an example to link to and I couldn't, go team!

Saw my old roomie Tuesday and she announced she was two months pregnant!!Yay JC! Started a baby blanket the next day. They don't know if it's a boy or a girl, so since the blanket is double stranded and I have equal amounts of pink and blue yarn.... I'll post a picture when it's done, it may be awhile though, as most of the blanket is in seed stitch which takes longer to do.

Mostly this was a random post made because I've been meaning to say something here for awhile and .... haven't.
