Two Links

Finally got around to watching the surfing dvd I picked up last weekend. It's called "Blue Crush" but this dvd follows a bunch of professional women surfers around, instead of a bunch of actresses. Surfers, male and female, continue to amaze and fascinate me, partly because of the speed that they perform at but mostly because they're out in waves I wouldn't swim in on a bet. I'm not scared of the water, I just realize that I'm not a good swimmer. I would like to learn to surf someday but since the beach closest to me (by hundreds of miles) is Oak Street Beach, on Lake Michigan, that won't be happening any time soon. I guess it's one of those things that I would like to do, but not enough to move away from friends, family and job to do. Anyway, the girls are great, I'm glad I bought this dvd first, the movie can wait.
Some pretty pictures of things in the sky. Just a random link to brighten your day.
Ha! I forgot that what I didn't like about listening to on-line radio stations was listening to on-line radio stations on a dial-up connection. I just tried one of my favorite stations for the first time with DSL, and it's great! I'm so excited. Now if they would just get their playlist active.... I like this station because of their (to my American sensibility) schizophrenic playlist. They just played a ballad sung from a father to his new baby, just one voice (don't know who's voice, no playlist) and one acoustic guitar, now they're playing Christina Amphlett/Divynls (or someone that sounds exactly like her), but it could have been "Red Right Hand" by Nick Cave or "Women in Uniform" by the Skyhooks. It's great stuff. Here's the link in case anyone is interested. Cool Tunes
That's all for now. More later.
