I went to "Far Out Friday" at the Adler and it was definitely worth the time and trouble to go. For $20 you get unlimited sky shows (there are three or four a night), access to the whole museum which has some pretty cool interactive stuff, a tour of the Doane Observatory (I saw Saturn last night!!), assorted kiddy crafts (pocket sundials, etc) a talk of some sort (missed it due to hospital visit) and fewer crowds. They did have a nasty infestation of Cub Scouts that night but topical applications of Den Parents and staff kept the outbreaks to a minimum. It was very enjoyable and next month I expect to enjoy it even more, as I'll know that the exit for parking is on the right.
